Research and insight

Research and insight - Take One Media

We regularly conduct research to inform our marketing plans/proposals and product development.

We have three main strands of ongoing research:

  • Outlets –  what do e.g. accommodation providers, TICs etc. need to provide the best service for their customers
  • Consumers – what information sources do they use to inform their tourism decisions
  • Attractions / destinations – what marketing is driving visitor numbers and revenue

Below is our research plan for 2017.  To become involved in our research email jill.perkins@takeonemedia.co.uk

Research programme 2017

Research themes B2B / B2C Objective / overview
Content demand type and volume B2C To get an idea of how people feel about the range of content types available to them and how and when they choose each type.  What has the biggest impact on different family members and how does this influence the overall itinerary and purchase behaviour?
Levels of involvement and ticket purchase B2C What are people’s purchasing preferences and does the value of tickets have a significant impact on this?
Travel plans 2017 B2C Is our Dayvisits community typical of industry research and what is driving / impacting their holiday & trip decisions?
Stands B2B What do outlets really want from a stand and does relevant content win over stand aesthetics.  How important (if at all) is own branding really and where does it fit in the priority list?
B&Bs and information provision B2B What are tourists demanding in the way of information and how does this influence how you run your business? How do you see the role of the B&B fitting into the wider economy of the region and do you feel responsibility? How do you prefer to access information and when?
