Meet the Management Team - Take One Media

The team here at Take One has an incredible wealth of experience and expertise from across many business sectors but with a specific emphasis on travel and tourism.

Our management structure is is pretty flat and our management team have a have a real working knowledge of what’s going on in the regions, how the market place is evolving and what the feedback is from the merchandisers who are out servicing our leaflet stands every day.

David joined Take One in 2007, having previously holding senior roles in the travel and tourism / tour operating industry. He is committed to continuing Take One’s mission to be the tourism leaflet distributor of choice.  His customer focus will ensure Take One is always ahead of its field in distribution, its market leading customer reporting tools and of course in its unique Code of Conduct.

Following University studies and a short spell as a chef, Glen set up EAE in 1987 for a consortia of nine culture and tourism organisations to develop leaflet marketing services in Edinburgh and the rest of Scotland. Glen conducted a management buy-out in 2000 and purchased EAE’s main competitor in 2005.

In September 2016, Glen sold his company, developed over 30 years, to Menzies Distribution and Take One Media. A classic business tale that continues to go from strength to strength. Having started a new company, developed the brand, built quality service and customer care, perhaps the hardest part is managing the other end.

Glen continues to lead, manage and develop EAE on a day to day basis for over 800 clients who wish to reach the home and visitor markets by bringing new display solutions to market. All while aiming for the elusive target of being a carbon neutral company by 2018.

Glen was the first to introduce Electric Vehicles to the EAE Distribution Fleet. EAE collects waste cardboard and plastic from client sites when vehicles are making return journeys to base. Waste is now separated, baled and sold on. In April 2014 EAE won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise; Sustainable Development. Our highest achievement and recognition of the fact we have removed over 80% of our carbon emissions since 2005.

Jill is Regional Sales Manager for East, Midlands and North West (our northern territories). Her work experience has been very colourful and exotic and as she puts it ‘I’ve been a flyer and a floater’ at British Airways and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. She has also had exposure from working at Imperial Tobacco & Guinness, but that is definitely not her tipple at weekends – she is a ‘wine lady’ and loves to try new food and wines from around the world – hence to say ‘why her body is not a temple’!

Jill joined us in 2013 and has 15 years multiple-sector (B2B & B2C) marketing management experience. Coming from a breed of marketing managers who have mastered traditional channels as well as having a firm foot in the ‘digital revolution’, Jill has a passion for the travel and tourism sector and the ongoing potential it represents. Jill likes to work with businesses to make their marketing work harder starting from the basic philosophy of; it’s all about people, data is critical, choice is key, trusting instincts and asking questions.
